| John has worked in the water industry for some twenty years both in the UK and overseas. Having worked with a number of leading UK consultants,
John has extensive project management, operation and maintenance and training
expertise. |

| Development Director: Dr Martin Thompson MA MSc CEng MIMechE SPE |
Dr Martin Thompson came from a numerical modelling and
dynamic testing background, working at British Gas’ prestigious Engineering
Research Station before moving on to work at Schlumberger Cambridge Research.
For the past 11 years Martin has worked at Mecon Ltd, which he founded
as a research and development company. There he developed a number of new
products for the oil industry, UK-based water utility gas industries, European
wind turbine manufacturers and the UK Health and Safety Executive.
Martin, together with Mark (below), was the founder of stest Ltd. |

| Technical Director: Dr Mark Harper BSc MPhil |
| Dr Mark Harper came from a background of experience with Topexpress
Limited, the well-known Cambridge applied science consultancy with strong
connections to the University’s Engineering Department, and SAIC Inc, the
US-based international consultants. In 1995 Mark joined Mecon where he
has worked on a wide range of problems to do with sensing, inspection,
and software for checking structural design safety. |
